I first heard about MJQ eight years ago, but never visited until now. A couple of my friends love this place. Located in Midtown just off of Ponce, it's underground, trendy, and unpretentious -- definitely not your typical Atlanta nightclub. I went on a whim with some friends on a weeknight around 11:30pm. The place didn't start filling up until after midnight. The club is divided into two sections: the main dance hall and bar with DJs at one end and then a smaller room with a mirror ball, where they play old school hip hop. People take turns break dancing in this room and it's a lot of fun to watch. The artwork on the walls inside the club are cool and retro. Free street parking is located on the first small side street that's on your right after turning onto Ponce De Leon Place.

I'm definitely a patio girl! And FPN definitely has the absolutely best patio in Atlanta!! With the fans strategically placed in each of the corners and the fountain in the middle, it feels at least ten degrees cooler in our F'N holy hell hotness. I go there almost every weekend, since I live right down the street. I always sit in the same couple of seats, where the breeze from the fans and the mist from the fountain make my spot, ahhh, pure heaven. Ok...so the food is hit or miss, but what dishes lack in flavor the staff, drinks and atmosphere makes up for in fabulousness. I have yet to have one rude or unnattentative server throughout my many, many visits. They go above and beyond the call of duty. They are uber friendly, accommadating and on full of on toppedness. I do have to say the lil corn dog bites, fish sandwhich and crab crakes are pretty darn good. And oh yea, best darn bloody mary's that I have found!
