by Sanjuanita Hayward on I first heard about MJQ eight years ago, but never visited until now. A couple of my friends love this place. Located in Midtown just off of Ponce, it's underground, trendy, and unpretentious -- definitely not your typical Atlanta nightclub. I went on a whim with some friends on a weeknight around 11:30pm. The place didn't start filling up until after midnight. The club is divided into two sections: the main dance hall and bar with DJs at one end and then a smaller room with a mirror ball, where they play old school hip hop. People take turns break dancing in this room and it's a lot of fun to watch. The artwork on the walls inside the club are cool and retro. Free street parking is located on the first small side street that's on your right after turning onto Ponce De Leon Place.
by Sydney Y. on The food was good, but not excellent, especially for it's pricing. The food was overpriced and the service was trying too hard to get a large tip out of our party. The restaurant atmosphere itself was nice, but the experience overall was not worth it in my opinion.
by Avis Cominotti on Nothing really special about this "eco friendly" lounge... The layout/design is pretty boring. And I don't see how green this place is. They have ONE of those air dryer machines in the restroom which nobody uses. Anyways, if you're looking for a place to just dance w/ a few of your friends without door drama, you should try ecco. Oh, but it's still hard to get in if you're a guy, no matter how "cool" or "uncool" the place is. And if you think it sucks, it's in a good location so go nowhere else no big. Major plus, open bar for the ladieees until 11:30.
