I came with about 10 people in total and we went on Friday the 12th of November, the day that the LA Riots and Chris Lake performed. I'd like to add that this was the main reason I came, not because of the club itself but because I love House music. Anyway, we got there at about 10 pm and parked two blocks down vine where the parking was $10. We pre-gamed it pretty hard because by the time we got to the front of the club we were all feeling too good! Almost all of us bought our tickets like two weeks before the event, and I TOTALLY recommend you do this because the prices just go up and up as the event nears. For example, I bought my ticket for $13, my friend bought it for $23 a week later, and the night of the event another friend dished out $32. The line wasn't very long at 10:30 pm, we waited for maybe 10-15 minutes before we got in (keep in mind this was a Friday). As soon as we walked in we headed for the dance floor, which is pretty big, enough to get about 150 people going crazy. The music for the first two hours was alright, but when Chris Lake came up to play it was just amazing. The LA Riots were decent, but their closing was the best part. I give the music a 4 out of 5, but there's never the same performers every time so it may be better or worse on some events. There was probably about a 3:2 guy to girl ratio, and if your under 21 you should go somewhere else because almost everyone at Avalon looks to be in their early 20's. I didn't buy any alcohol, but the OJ cost $4 and so did the Sprite. The dance floor gets so hot sometimes it's unbearable. Every once in a while I'd go up to the balcony to chill and sit down. Speaking of the balcony, its pretty big and there's a long line of couches to sit on, so your bound to find some place to sit down. It also has a nice view of the dance floor and DJ. Hell, you can even stare at all the lights if you want, you can pretty much see anything from up there. This club also closes between 4-6am depending on the day, so you can literally spend about 8 hours in there, but I don't recommend it because my alcohol went down at about 2am and I was so tired from dancing since we came in. Only a crackhead would stay there all night. Nonetheless, this club was solid and I had a great time with everyone. I didn't encounter any drama, I had a girl with me all night, the bouncers didn't bother us, the bartenders were nice and came to me quickly (maybe because I had this girl order for me), there were hot girls all over the place, the music was legit, the visuals were amazing, and the sound system was great (although my ears were ringing for several days after). I recommend anyone to go except for someone who just wants to hunt down girls because the club is more geared toward performances rather than dancing.

Chill Bar around the corner from the busy hollywood cahuenga strip, young lively atmosphere, live music, happy hour, free cover, full bar, reasonable prices, smoking patio, scarce street parking, valet ($10-15).

Food was great. Scene was great. Our server (John) was fantastic, truly an experienced, professional server. Dessert is amazing. We had reservations, got there early and had drinks upstairs since our table wasn't ready. It was a busy Saturday night scene. Overall, staff is attentive, food is great, scene is first-class. I took a friend visiting from out of town and she loved it.
