Unbelievable music! The drinks and food are much better than you would expect from an establishment famous for the music. The servers are terrific, and they take great care of you, without interfering with the music. Maria was our server for two nights in a row, and she did not disappoint! Find a reason and go! This is an iconic New York club, GO!

I liked the vibe in here, it seemed fairly laid back and the music was nice. The decor was interesting in that "I'll be in to day and out tomorrow" kind of way, like most spots of this sort. I could definitely see it starting to expire if you know what I mean, seeing as there was a group of fairly trashy individuals who entered around 1am, like semi-bridge and tunnel kind of folks (which basically kills a place for me). I had some ginger cocktail, it was divine (for $15). Overall, I liked the decor and the general lounginess that I felt, but I'm sure this place will be filled with irritating people from NJ very very soon

OVERALL: If you are (1) craving comfort food and (2) not on a diet --- this place is heaven sent. The food was excellent! It hit the spot. Portions are HEARTY! We caught the beginning of the show, and I have to tell you - it was amazing. So much soul, so much spirit. I'm coming back to listen to the blue and kick back some cocktails. If you're dining only- you must finish dinner by 8. If you're dining and showing- you can have your dinner at any time. You pay for your show ticket which is about $20 depending on who's performing. Dishes that we tried that got the thumbs up: Fried chicken of course (ladies, you need to share this. Its big), crab cakes (2 large cakes come out), mac&cheese crouquettes (yum!), jambalaya (I had a bite and I would order it next time), buuuut what I crave is their warm pecan pie! (and I'm not a pecan pie fan normally) Atmosphere: Its not updated or fancy at all. Its definitely a place that looks better with the lights dimmed and performers on stage. But it has history and character to it, so I'm a fan.
