This place has done major improvement since the last time I was here.. (Boss days) and I'm glad it has brought together a more diverse crowd. I'm not a big fan of places of all one type of ethnicity so this was a pleasant surprise. The VIP area takes up what appears to be 50% of the place, so if you don't have a booth, be prepared to dance in a pretty narrow floor. Maybe I went on a crackin night, I don't know. It was pretty funny to see their female bartenders walk around with sparklers to wish ppl a happy birthday... ok, it was pretty corny. Whatever works right??! Just wanted to mention that in case you plan on throwing a birthday... be prepared for some morning glory 4th of july action at your booth. yipeeeeeeee Would I come back? maybe. Maybe when Independence day comes and I want to paaarrrtaaay and celebrate!

When our direct flight from Fort Lauderdale paused at the Austin aiport, the husband quickly ran out in search of some sustenance. Luckily, his disdain for standard chainstore airport fare led him somewhat further off afield from what was closer to the Southwest terminal. And, even more fortunately, he managed to find Salt Lick (& Amy's Ice Cream) and got back to the plane in time. A big thumbs up for the exceedingly tasty sausage and brisket combos he procured - the BBQ sauce just tangy and smokey enough, the portions generous, the sides quite complementary.
