I did noticed that they serve Ethiopian food, but ACME burger is 5 second walk away :) I would come back here again, but nothing here blew my mind away
by Gerry Bilyeu on Finally! This is what I've been looking for in Philly. A chill, diverse hip hop bar where people are just down to have fun. I went last Thursday from some friends recommending this night as the old-school hip hop/R&B night. No cover! We were greeted by some jams for sure. Just as we were finished purchasing our $3 beer special drinks and turning our heals towards the dancefloor, the DJs changed on us. Unfortunately, tonight was uncharacteristic of other Thursdays. Some guest DJs from Chi-town spinning trance, rave music were in town. No.. I wasn't on E, nor do I drop it. After an hour long set, they finally realized we weren't feelin it. Back to Pharcyde it was. Woohoo! Imma give it another Thursday night runaround for sure. What's keeping me from giving it 5 stars besides the random Chicago DJs? There were about 50 people too many in that spot and it was about 100 degrees on the dancefloor. Other than that, lotsa pluses for having a diner linked to the venue. Removes the hassle of satisfying those drunken munchies. :P
