Traditional Irish pub/food. The best in Phoenix! Live music, excellent crew and the best of customers (pay no attention to the Snottsdale types... they are not regulars, thank God!) This is a super pub.
by Danielle R. on Kind of a cool spot on the decor front; of course it has to have one of those pseudo coed bathrooms like all the cool new spots do, but thankfully, there are still stalls marked girl/boy. Drinks ain't cheap, but it is union square in a somewhat schwanky place. (Or at least that is what they'd want you to think.) The place is empty on a Saturday night until after 9. Since an automatic 20% grat was included, our waitress took that to mean she did not have to pay any attention to us once she took the order (yes, even though it was empty when we started). We ordered a bunch of plates as they are small plates meant for sharing. Food was ok. Nothing truly of note, but do-able. On the pricy side, considering this wound up being appetizers instead of the dinner we planned on. Oh - then the bouncer was pushing us to leave our table as it turns into a VIP table/bottle service sitch once the clock strikes 10. DUDE - can you tell our waitress who disappeared to bring us our bill and we'd be happy to leave. Trust me. Happy to leave. Come 9:30 the crowd starts arriving for the 10pm club call. Can you say B &T?.... 'nuff said. Not my scene.
