Review number 100! If memory serves me correctly..I swore I've been here as a litto kid.. I stopped by the Nightlife to see what the big fuss was about. When I got there, there was a longgggg line but no worries it went by quick. $10 presales can be purchased online or at the door. 21+ only. Planetarium - sold out Rainforest - closed (due to longgg line) I like how the space is OPENED and environmentally green! The rooftop garden has a nice view of the De Young Museum. Too bad I missed the 2 exhibits...ugh. O-well as long as there's alcohol everythings going to be all right. I've learned my lesson get there early and wait in lines... Minus 1 star for the lines and expensive CASH ONLY drinks.

hmmm.. the crowd here was really weird... there were alot of really old men who seemed to be tagging along with younger men .... alot of cougars were hanging out by the bar and dancing to the weird barmitzvah greek indian i dont really know what they were thinking kinda music. this place is kind of like a restaurant trying to be a club or a barscene tyring to be a resturant... but whatever the case it was kind of weird to see people dancing at the dining tables.... well i dont think you are supposed to dance period, but that didnt stop anybody from trying... i cant say for the house specials but the drinks were actually GREAT... i think that is what made the experience.. . ive had MANY b-52s and almost no one gets it right. very few if any has made it as good as buddha bar! I also had a tasty mojito and kamikaze. neither one was too sweet or too bitter. juuuust right. if you want to get in just make sure to get a dinner reservation and be prepared to spend 50$ + head for dinner and drinks. for a trendy NY place thats really not bad at all.

This is a good scene. multicultural, live music, fun vibe, lots of space and festive. Especially on thursday night salsa dancing. Thursday night Salsa dancing is great. Does not have the feel of sleaze that sometimes come out of other joints like "suite 191", "micro-fiber lounge", "Panda Bar" etc etc (I have obscured the name to protect the identity). At Cafe Cocomo, just bunch of easy going well dressed ladies and gentlement who love to dance show up here, and dance to live salsa band performing. I was feeling the scene without a single drink in me, it would help though if you knew some Salsa dancing. I thankfully can do some broken salsa, but nothing against dem beautiful dames, lighting up the floor. Just as much fun to watch as it is to dance. Outdoor patio with trees and plants, alll covered with christmas lights makes it all very festive. It was fun experience.
