The best way to describe Bubble Lounge is it's like a song that used to be good until the radio stations played it to death. It seems like everyone and their cousin had a birthday (or other event) here in 2009. PROS: -The crowd is reasonably classy -99% of the time you show up at Bubble Lounge, you are bound to see people you know. This could be a pro or con...depending. -No cover -Champagne and chocolate covered strawberries CONS: -The downstairs is a CAVE. The "dance floor" is one claustrophia-inducing, undulating mass dripping with sweat. (Yuck. Methinks not.) -It's beyond impossible to get a drink at the bar, despite there being more than one. It's literally a fight to the death. -Parking in North Beach has got to be the most stressful experience ever. -Can anyone else possibly have a birthday event here? Despite the cons, Bubble is a fairly decent spot once in awhile (if you're looking to hang out with friends and aren't particularly in the mood to dance).

The upstairs terasse is CASH ONLY!! They have an atm but it charges you a fee..and don't forget in addition to their fee your bank will most likely charge you a fee (BoA charges a $2 non-atm fee) so it's really like $5 total in fees. I loved the view from the terasse but it was soo cold and there were very few heat lamps. Their food is overly fattening and definitely not on the healthy side. And, their mixed drinks were not strong at all. Just order a glass of wine or a beer and skip on the appetizers as they aren't anything special. Enjoy the view (bring a sweater though since the heat lamps are sparse) And then leave after an hour or two. Definitely worth checking out!

Difficult parking, Long line, long wait, paid $20 to get in, long lines to the bar, expensively small drinks, non spectacular dj's.... no AC in most rooms, sounds like a good time! uh... no thanks. I was on the guest list to get in for a friend's party but I still had to wait an hour to get in. Top it all off, the guest list expired at 1030 even though you were on the guest list. That only means you'll have to pay $20 to get in. LAME! Word of advice: If you're on the guest list, GET THERE EARLY!
