This is a review for the signature hour at Morimoto. 5-7 Su-Fri. Apps were $7, sushi $6. My boyfriend got the shrimp tempura sushi which he really liked. The apps varied. If you blindfolded me I would not have guessed the "angry" wings with tandoori sauce were anything but a good buffalo wing. Good texture, but not worth it. Kobe beef spring rolls were AMAZING on the other hand. Wow, totally worth it, even for the price (portions for signature hour are very small of course, only 2 rolls). The lobster skewer was good, calamari I've had much better elsewhere, and the tofu had an excellent crispy-on-the-outside-soft-on-the-inside texture. All in all it's of course pricey but I would go back for the loungy atmosphere for drinks and apps. Sidenote: they have a really cool hand dryer. and the paper towels are really thick.

Okay, I normally like Bruno's fine--dancy music, pretty fun crowd and a totally agreeable cheeze factor. But I seriously need to get something off my chest right now--that the all-chick bartending staff on Saturdays SUCKS. I've never been hated on so hard by bartenders eva in my life. This one girl--not gonna get specific cause I'm classy like that--is a BIA BIA who looked me up and down and then left me standing there for a solid 15 minutes as she served every single person around me who approached the bar. I felt like she disliked me on sight, decided to completely ignore me and was not too subtle about it. Look girlfriend, I'm really sorry that my presence offended you in some way but do your job and leave the catty crap or whatever that was at home. Mkay? Ho.
