I didn't realize that the main large room only opens up at a certain time, so you have to stay in the room you walk into, until that time. I got annoyed with the young ladies always offering me flasks from what looked like a home-made science kit..filled with I don't know what! After a while I wanted to say, "Don't call me, I'll call you". Dang...Can a sistah get her swag surf on? Oh yeah...and when I went, for the first time, a few months ago, Frank Ski was on the 1's & 2's...which is where I first heard that song...we were so crunk he hadda play it twice!
by Linda T. on Came here for several dinners and late night drinks...not because the food was great... but because it was within proximity of my hotel. Try to get a table on the 2nd floor, it's quieter and you can enjoy the big buddha from afar. Food was normal, but I liked their creative vegetable dish titled "Buddhas Harmonized Vegetable Feast for the Minor Gods"
by Byron Popp on On one hand, it was fun. On the other, it was expensive. Cover, plus valet (street parking is difficult) plus so-so drinks is not worth it. I had handed the waitress for my Malibu and pineapple and she didn't give me change. Apparently the drink is $8 and she helped herself to a $2 tip. Not cool. I would have tipped her but I wasn't having it the next time. I proceeded to buy drinks from the bar from then on. Thursdays for Root Down was definitely cool minus the guys constantly hitting on us. Dude, we're not interested. Stop chasing us! And it's a small room with the DJ. There's another small room that's more chill.
