Soothed my craving for french fries and mayo...and on the side- a medium-sized turkey burger with guac, tomato and sprouts. The "small" burger was actually pretty hefty...bigger than a slider as described in reviews, and plenty for me. The side of fries was also a pretty big portion...I couldn't finish it all, despite my violent craving for them when I set out for FLIP in search of the sliced fried carbs. Burger was delish...juicy turkey burger offset perfectly with the crunch of sprouts and garnish of mashed avocado. Mmmmmmmmm. The menu lists creative "boutique-y" burgers, both beef and non-beef, an array of fried side orders and other extras...this place is definitely not boring. They have milkshakes chilled with liquid nitrogen, ones with ingredients like nutella...I'll have to order one next time to share with somebody, as they have a hefty price tag between $5-8. Very cute joint- white interior, thumping music, long bar with white goth framed mirrors and TV screens showing some music awards show, smallish space but not tiny by any means. I had no issue finding a parking space in the lot right by the door but I wouldn't have minded walking from across the street, as I could use the extra steps to burn off the little cup of mayo I ate with my fries. Obviously, not the cheapest burger place out there, but if you can't spare $10 for a delicious medium-sized burger and perfectly cut and cooked fries, this isn't the place for you.

This place can provide one heck of a night out. I didn't go for the food, I came for the bar and wasn't disappointed. Perhaps it was because of the crowds outside on a Saturday night, or the loud music playing, or the Disney-esque decorations on the wall, but this place won me over. The drinks are well-priced and while the place is crowded, you manage to get around. The back patio is fairly plain but a fun place to drink and, if you smoke, smoke (but don't smoke!) The location is perfect and if you go there on a Friday or Saturday night, this could end up being your first of many stops.

PROS: + banging music! couldn't stop shaking my rump to those reggae beats + tasty and reasonably priced cocktails and beer + BLACK CHERRY RUM & COKE!!! + classic and cheesy 50's interior/exterior + a nice diverse crowd.. finally! + two additional rooms with plentiful seating + sweet sound system in the "dancing" room CONS: - one bartender + one bar back = long wait for your drink - too many sleazy, borderline serial killer rapists and HELLA BUFUGLY guys trying to holler, while standing in a dark corner giving you "the eye". "No, I don't wanna dance with you" DOES NOT MEAN "Please keep harassing me because I secretly wanna bone you tonight" - a smallish dance floor area - drunk girl(s) trying to become your new best friend I'm not going to completely shun you Bruno's because I would like to come back on a weekend night and see how things pan out then.. but if you end up charging a $10 cover, then I might have to completely nix you. I will give you a second chance, so please don't f*ck it up next time.
