by Christine Y. on Came here for after-dinner drinks on a saturday evening with friends around 7pm. Hostess was super nice, so was the wait staff, in seating us and letting us know that there was a $30 minimum per person for two hours but if we were there for an hour or so, that could be waived (although at $12-17 per drink, reaching the minimum wouldnt have been hard). So we decided to have some drinks and go after an hour unless we felt like staying. It was pretty empty in the lounge which made it nice since we weren't fighting for the bartender's attention or being shoved around. We ordered drinks which were nice and strong and yummy. I recommend the Cashmere and silk, YUMMY. The champagne drinks are good but also so so. Couches were super comfy and plenty of room. Nicer bathrooms than I've seen in some clubs, but the dance floor size? You gotta be kidding me.
by Russell E. on If I had the choice to go out one night a week, it would be here on a sunday night (the gay night). Music usually makes my night, and the DJ here always makes a great selection (The DJ used to trainwreck EVERY track, but last time I went the transitions were very good). If you know anything about current quality dance music and old classics (think Pete Tong's Radio1 show; i.e. not american over-played sh*t), you will enjoy yourself too. No cover! standard drink I think around $10, although no long islands :( Just have a drink or two with your friends before you head out and it will be a worthwhile and cheap night (most important for poor grad student's ass). Unfortunately I have lab meeting every monday morning at 8:30 am, so can't make it out frequently.
