I was recently in Atlanta for a hockey game (Go Hawks!) and we needed time to kill so we decided to go to the aquarium. I'm SO glad we did! This place is amazing. I found myself saying "WOW!" quite a bit. My favorite animal is the jellyfish, and I was very pleased to find that they had several tanks of them. Very cool. The Ocean voyager exhibit is one of the coolest things I've EVER seen. It was cool that they gave you cards with the names of all the different fish in the tank. It was fun to find them all. The underwater tunnel is really wild experience. The giant whale sharks and mantarays swim right over you. MY favorite part of this exhibit is the giant window. It is almost like you're looking at a movie screen. It's absolutely gigantic and awesome. We sat there for about 45 mins before moving on to the next thing. We were lucky enough to be there during a dive session, and one of the divers had a microphone in his mask, so we were able to talk to him and ask him questions. It was insane! As for the rest of the aquarium, I really liked how the tanks were literally everywhere. You could look up and see fish swimming over your head. They basically let you get as close as possible. Another cool thing were the touch tanks. We were able to touch stingrays and sharks. SHARKS! We couldn't believe they were just letting people put their arms in the tank. It was a smaller shark, but still! It was really cool. Finally, the only downside was that it did get pretty crowded. However, we went on a saturday afternoon, and it was expected. It wasn't that big of a deal though. It didn't ruin the experience at all. This is a fantastic aquarium and I highly suggest it for all ages!

Our company threw a launch party at Bimbo's 365 and they seemed not to spare any expense. They hired a valet service so we could ditch our cars without having to worry about mundane details like parking. Upon entering I noticed a coat check desk that might have come in handy if I wore a heavy jacket. I visited the men's room and noticed ice filling the urinals, how awesome is it to melt ice while you pee? freaking classy. The men's room attendant was mumbling something fierce behind me, but i blocked it out as I attended to melting ice. I was told the night was going to feature an open bar, paid for by the company which to me translates to "free for all". So I headed over to Bimbo's fully stocked bar, and ordered a greyhound. I half expected the bartender to whip out a bottle of Kamchatka vodka to fill up my greyhound. Imagine my surprise when he pulled out a bottle of Grey Goose. Admittedly this was a bit extravagant for a drink I probably wouldn't taste the vodka in and was probably going to pound. But whatever.. Fast forward a few drinks later I proceeded to the dance floor area where we got to listen to music by Pride and Joy. Bimbo's 365 is a huge venue! Towards the end of the night, I was sad to leave... What a great time. Although I doubt I'd give 5 stars without the open bar and free valet service.
