Visited the pool/bar area about a month ago. Not too impressed.. I'm generally attracted to vintage rustic buildings but huge ass cockroaches running around the pool is just dirrrrty. Really they only deserve 2 stars but I thought the bartender was really friendly, even though the wait was long she still provided excellent service.

Blech. I went to Cielo with a few girl friends because I heard the sound system is amazing and they play good house music. Well, the sound system was good (thus the two stars) but the DJ was crap. Really awkward transitions and he would get the crowd going a bit with some fast paced tracks and then throw in a really slow song. So people would dance frantically for 5 minutes and then stand around waiting for the music to pick up again. The space itself is small, with a sunken dancefloor...and can I just say...having lots of drunk people in a small dark space with steps is never a good idea. The crowd was average, mostly late 20's to late 30's, with lots of European guys. It was definitely not a "models and bottles" place. We got in easily because we arrived early (around 11:30) but when our friends got there around midnight, they couldn't get in, and the bouncer wouldn't let me go outside to chat with them (or even poke my head out the door to check if they were still waiting.) In fact, the bouncers seemed pretty unpleasant...I saw one of them drag a girl off a speaker (okay, that was his job) but he was really rough about it. It's not the worst club ever, but I wouldn't go there again. Save your money for a space with better music and nicer staff!
