The ambiance reminded me of being at someones house...this would be a great place for a romantic date or a business dinner. The food was out of this world. I highly recommend the butternut squash bisque- the way they plate this dish is beautiful. I would stay away from the fry trio and the macoroni and cheese- the truffle sauce is minimum at best. But let me tell you...me and my friends all agree that we will make frequent visits for the donut dessert. This was one of the best desserts I ever had. It's heaven!

Boo...this place is terrible. Came here for "Cut and Paste," a digital design competition. First off, three of us show up 20 minutes before the event, and the line is around the block. We try to figure out if this is the "buy tickets" or the "will call" or whatever line, as no one was around to help. Finally, we find an employee, and he's yelling at everyone that the massive line is for everyone. Helpful! And then at some point, the AMC movie theater next door gets pissed at the line, and all of a sudden, the Webster Hall people start yelling at the line to essentially flip around so as to line up going the -other- way down the block (wouldn't it be easier to have people guiding the line as it initially formed?). Anyway, it was a big mess. Once inside, it wasn't much better. The event itself was poorly run with obnoxious M.C.s (which is a whole other issue), but the club itself is decaying, had really uncomfortable seating upstairs, and the bathrooms were a mix between bordello and storage area. Oh, and on the way out? The staircase down to the exit was pitch-dark, which was an accident just waiting to happen (once outside, there was a bouncer oh-so-helpfully shouting at people not to trip. Thanks, bouncer guy). Tip: At least Webster Hall is close to St. Mark's Place (so you can get yummy Japanese food to help you forget about this miserable place...)
