by John R. on I ordered the classic burger. The bun was over buttered and over toasted so that the first 1/4" of both the top and bottom buns had the consistency of a crouton and overall a bit dry. The meat was juicy, well cooked, but lacking a little in flavor. The chopped iceberg lettuce was wilted and had started browning, and did not bring the fresh crisp texture that makes this burger so great (usually). The side of fruit was not fresh and took away from the quality of the burger just by association. Ordered a basket of the classic french fries and the chocolate shake both of which were the stars of the meal. I have had this same meal here with satisfaction but this time we left disappointed. If the bun, lettuce, and fruit had been fresh our overall impression would have been positive. The tap beer selection and the fries will probably bring me back.

The food is fresh & fabulous, the atmosphere is stylish but comfortable and unpretentious and the price is line with the quality. I always eat at the bar so I can't comment on the rest of the restaurant but I love that it's non-smoking and that though it's smallish you can still have a conversation without feeling like you're talking to everyone in the room. Recently my friend and I went for dinner, we both had salads (the mixed greens with pistachios, figs and honey lavender dressing can't be beat- seriously outrageous salad), a bottle of wine, 2 entrees (me hangar steak- awesome and she had chicken), mac n' cheese (also outrageously good), veggies (shared) and dessert. The total was @ $100 which in mind is not overpriced at all for what you get. It makes for an ideal date spot, dining with friends, someplace nice to take nana when she visits or just grabbing a bite alone.
