by RIKETA C. on Sigh...another mediocre nightclub post for me. Normally I avoid these types of spots because the experience just never does it for me. Usually when I go out I see it as a personal challenge to be as frugal as possible, because nighlife drains your wallet and I haven't had too many top notch experience to make me say "hmmm-that was worth the money!" I am usually good at this but on this night not so good. 1. Flask? Check 2. Cocktail made in travel cup from home? Check (I usually drink this while parked in my car before I go into the club to get my buzz started. 3. Bypassed vallet and roll into the free parking area? Check doing good so far.... 4. Get in for free before 12? Uh...not exactly. Shit. I was supposed to be going to a birthday party that was being held there for one of my friends and she told me that it was free before 12am. They informed me at the door that it was free before 10, not 12. So I had to pay $20! Son of a &%6$#@! I almost nearly had a free night. I was 2 seconds from turning around and taking my ass home, but I remembered that I told my friend I would be there, so I unhappily pulled out a $20 and paid. The atmposphere is nice on the inside (although it could be bigger). The VIP was nice, and the DJ played a mix of old and new jams. I didn't order any food so I cant speak on that, but there were free drinks for the ladies until 12, so I took advantage of that. (I should have stuck to my flask because those drinks were made with McCormicks and it felt like I had smurfs dancing on my skull the next day)...but anywhooo... I like the way the floor is centered and on a platform with stairs in the middle of the club. I would go back. But I will definitely be going when it is free. I just dont dont believe in paying a ton of money to party anymore.
