by Eileen D. on All this place really has going for it is the nostalgia and semi-notoriety from TV. Is it worth a visit? Sure. But the food is really nothing special. It's okay but I find it overpriced for what you get. The french fries and onion rings are pretty good but a little too greasy.
by Jacinto Dekalb on I always have *funny* *random* and *drunken* good times at this place. The Starlight Room transports the young and old to some other time...I can't quite place my finger on it. But the waitresses waltz around in floor length gowns with a slit up to their crotches, and the men are all dressed up in tuexdo-like outfits. It's kinda...odd. Just like the cougar woman being caressed by a younger man on the dance floor and making out as if it were their own hotel room--eew. But, the dance floor is a lot of fun, but bring your own group of friends or men. This place seems to draw an interesting crowd, but the music is live and pumping. Fun! Great views of the city!
by Douglas Kaniecki on The rules here are crazy! Coming from San Diego, I was told that I had to check out Buddha Bar. I went with 8 friends and we ordered 8 Belvedere Martinis (20.00) each, so it's not like we were ordering the cheap stuff. We then went on to order dinner (sushi, salad, a few entrees) and were told that we did not meet their minimum, now keep in mind that we are all girls who don't eat very much but we still ordered at least 500.00 worth of stuff. The waitress told us that we needed to order at least 3 sushi rolls per girl and an entree and a salad each. It was ridiculous! We asked if we could just get a 200.00 bottle of champagne or just order food and give it to other tables. We were told that alcohol didn't count towards their minimum. Needless to say, we talked to the manager and he said we could "just order" whatever we wanted after 20 minutes of complaining....ugh! Our tab was still over 750.00. Crazy... Great food, good vibe but not sure about their policies.
