by Kyle K. on One of our new favorite places for sushi. As others have said, the happy hour is good. But beyond good prices, the quality of the fish in the happy hour sushi is as good as or better than anything at the nearby sushi restaurants (Maiko, Imperia, etc.). Everything is beautifully presented and tasty. Drinks are cheap during happy hour (which is all day Sunday), and the staff is very friendly and attentive, without being overbearing. The other best part of Bar Chi is that they have non-sushi dishes, like fried rice, and a burger. Yeah, I know, what you're thinking. But if you have someone that might be in the mood for sushi, there are options!
by Sean S. on i love discovering a new place in nyc, only to go back to rateclubs with my seeming unknown and secret bar only to find that there are 82 reviews. Obviously it's no secret to new yorkers! This place is pretty secluded. You enter via an office building entrance next to some manikins, and a security guard who asks no questions. Walk up some stairs, and you'll find yourself in a super-secretive seeming korean bar. Lots of couches, nooks, and crannies to smooch, and flirt. Unfortunately when we arrived the kitchen was closed, so we went across the street to bon chon chicken. See that review for details...
