by Phil C. on So I guess it's not the Boom Boom anymore. The mood is still shaggalicious though. Everything has been said about the incredible view. Pretentious people usually haunt the premise. Yet they are relatively friendly, thinking that if you are there too, you must be their kind of people. How misguided. That excludes the waitress who waited our table and was rather nonchalent. Individual drinks may be expensive, but the bottles are amazingly cheap in comparison. $120 for a bottle of Moet & Chandon, when they go for three or four times as much in the surrounding clubs. Good to bring visitors or a date. But wouldn't make your regular hangout place: there just isn't much of an ambiance. People seem too busy looking bored or looking at each other. Cannot be sure, but also highly suspected some of the women hanging around the bar area to be escorts.
by Joey S. on Ugh, such terrible service. Every single person from the bartenders to the bouncers to the "boss" were in a different universe. I went here for the St. Patrick's Day function: http://www.rateclubs.com/ev... http://sanfrancisco.go... I should have known better than going to a http://going.com"St.PARTICK's" day party. Anyway, the dumbest bartender did not know the deals that were going on. We also got there at 9pm (as stated on the FLYER) but there was nobody there and they would not even serve us anything until 9:45. All we did was wait around while they told us that the food and drinks would be served shortly, which never occurred. The decor is nice, but what good is a place that does not serve you?
