by Jennifer S. on Aren't night clubs supposed to be... fun? My boyfriend keeps taking clients here so I keep getting dragged along. I've probably been here 5 times now and tried it Wed, Thurs, and Sat nights. Gold bar is boring. It's tiny so you can't really dance and the music isn't good for dancing anyways. DJ if you're reading this, I can't stand you!! Stop changing the song every 30 seconds! It's a bad place to mingle too, everyone is already at a table with a close group of friends. That said, if you just need a place to hang out with your closest friends and your living room just isn't doing it for you, Gold Bar is the place for you. I, myself, if I'm feeling lively enough to get bottle service, I'm going to choose someplace more high energy. I would give it 1 star based on fun factor alone but 2 stars for great service, nice bouncers and hostesses.
by M L. on Taco Tuesdays cannot be beat. I had 5 tacos and 2 draft beers and I was out of there for under $15. The wait staff is very curteous, the people that go there are also easy to be around. And the tacos, again, are awesome. I hope to be a regular here. I need to try their Thin Crust Thursdays now...
