Everytime I go here I have to commit to spending a minimum of $550 just to get in the door, and after tip, etc it always ends up being in the $700 range. Crazy for 2 single girls dressed to kill, huh? Well that's what makes this club exclusive. They have really good international dj's which is why I splurge sometimes and go here.

I totally digged this place. The service was great. The rooms were comfy and nicely decorated with old Hollywood photos. The main lobby with all the leather couches, very suave. They have several really cool bars. One that is right off to the side of the historical lobby. go there on a week day, you almost feel like your back in time. 25 degrees is a spiritual experience of burger indulgence. The pool bar is super fab. yeah a little pricey, but the drinks are delightful. I stayed here mid week and thought it was very pleasant. Im not sure if there is a totally different experience on the weekends, but heck. Even if your plans aren't to stay over night. You are still welcome to hang at their bars. You gotta check out the lobby if your into the whole Roaring 20s thing like me. Great place to get some drinks and then lay your mouth into a juicy burger n spiked shake at 25 degrees. I never thought a burger n shake could be that good.

I realize that I've been giving out a lot of good reviews lately. I don't like that about myself, but I guess I just don't bother to write reviews of places I don't like. This will soon change though, I promise. In the mean time, Bob Bar is amazing! It's only detractions are made up for by how great it is. I mean, five stars equals "Woohoo! As good as it gets!" not "Perfect, absolutely nothing wrong". And by no means is Bob Bar perfect. It is small and... and... well that's about it. The bar space is small, the bathroom is tiny (the co-ed sink is outside the bathroom), the whole place is on the small side, ok? However, where else can you find a place in Manhattan that spins music like this? Good Hip-Hop (old and new), Reggae, Dancehall, Pop and R&B. Everyone here seemed to be having a good time despite the size. Even though the bar was small, whenever I wanted a drink I got one in a very reasonable amount of time. A cute bartender never hurts either. The inside decor is subtle but pleasing and it's easy to get to (right off the F) and in good spot to flag a cab for that drunken ride home. All in all, Bob Bar is the best Hip-Hop spot I've been to thus far in NYC.
