I rarely come here unless there is a big name DJ. That said, even though I am a Black VIP and Stud VIP Card Holder, most any other night I would not be here. Because Opera does pay the money to bring in some solid DJs I do find myself here every so often. Recent DJs have included Gareth Emory, Hernan Cattaneo from Buenos Aires, and DIrty South from Australia. I like to come here after midnight, grab a table with friends and get hammered. The crowd is often pretty rough, but the music when DJs like the above are there is solid. 2 Stars non-house music nights, 4 stars when talent is booked.

this is a review for late night Little Baobab (the club): this place smelled like gym socks wrapped in bacon with the bacon hot dog cart sizzling outside and sweaty bodies rubbing into you everywhere - GRODY! teenagers were groping and making out on the dance floor like finalists for a big red commercial - DOUBLE GRODY! if i wanted to be transported back to "the worst of my high school years, " i definitely would not be paying the $5 cover they charged that night to do it.

the first time i went here was sort of on the fly since the two other bars i frequent in the area were way too crowded. i played some nwa on the jukebox, ordered a white russian and headed to the back of the restaurant where the pool table was. surprisingly, there was an art show displaying some local photographers. the dj was great and the couches made me feel so welcome. unfortunately i haven't tried their food yet. but from what i here, their ethiopian cuisine is the best. i'm definitely going back.
