Last night, I decided to go out with the girls and they wanted to check out this place, as they'd heard (like every other Hollywood club) that it was the place to be. Outside, there was a huge line of women, dressed in minis, waiting to enter. Our guestlist status took care of that whole waiting thing that I oh so hate doing. Inside, this place was pretty packed. The crowd was a bit snobby. I don't even know why I mention this anymore, this is Hollywood we're speaking of. Anyway, back to the venue...my favourite accent on the place is the cage in the middle of the dance floor. Shit was going DOWN in that cage, totally not rateclubs photo appropriate. The VIP area, where a friend was hosting a group, was pretty lame, but the severs were VERY attentive with the bottle service needs of the group. I can always respect that. The venue was almost at capacity, it seemed, which made venturing for a drink a bit of a challenge in between songs I didn't like. I tabbed for four drinks, which took $52 out of my pocket. In the name of Friday night, I will NOT make a big deal about this. Fairly fun venue. If you're not into the sexual aspect of life, then this is NOT the place you need to be on a Friday night, as this place just pretty much oozes sex appeal all over the floor.

The service is a bit slow, but grab a few drinks, play some pool...Better to come on a weeknight than during the weekend. Food used to be good...but now the injera has changed and that makes me sad...

If you want to goto the best japanese restaurant in Philly and have money to splurge, definitely check out Morimoto. I always order the $120 Omakase when I go there since you get to sample many of the chef's menu items. If it's your first time, they'll generally give you their kobe beef and their eight spice lobster, which is the best lobster I've ever had, along with other various small dishes, like the foie gras, oysters, sushi, and much more. Very filling, very cool variety (the wasabi ice cream was interesting). This is just fusion food at its best in a great atmosphere, a must have for the adventurous diners out there. And if you get lucky, you may meet the great Morimoto himself and get an autographed menu from him.
