by Joel Reetz on Bowlmor is an unbelievable, mind blowing ripoff. The place is cool, the staff is nice and the bowling is fun but guess what? It doesn't matter! It is so ridiculously overpriced you just feel like you're being bent over and reamed every second you're here. $68 an hour per lane (hey can you throw in a lap dance?), $6.50 shoe rental and $10 for a beer. Dropped over a hundred dollars on a date here in a mere hour. In summation, Bowlmor WOULD be cool if it were 80% cheaper. Until then, head to Brooklyn if you must bowl in this city.
by Shahirah I. on Forgettable. There was something about this club I couldn't quite put my finger on. Perhaps a combination of a ridiculous $20 cover, lame DJ, young crowd and overpriced drinks. Gorgeous interior though, which is a real shame, this place definitely has potential.

Boys and girls, I carry NO ulterior motives, no expectations and nothing but the joy of dancing around with a bottle of champagne in my hands. Of course, it is even MORE enjoyable when I can do this with my entourage of gay men. With all of that typed, Trigger definitely offers a more upscale, high energy, mixed crowd option to the Castro scene. Unlike Cafe or Badlands, you'll definitely feel a more LA or NYC vibe with the shiny, happy interior and, as a result, there are a few more STRAIGHT girls and boys that drop in to check it out. It may be the novelty of being the new, hot kid who transferred in during the school year, but there is always a line to get in and there is always a COVER charge (which can act to encourage for some clientele and deter others), which can range from $5-10+. The drinks are NOT cheap, but when you see the dancers, the djs, the staff and the cirque du soleil trapeze-like performance, you can understand why. There is a coat check and for those who aren't accustomed to it, a multi-gender restroom with an attendant to "direct" traffic. You are obviously encouraged to tip both...
