went to delux for a date today and had the best time, the environment was great, the service quick and helpful, and as always the food was the best in town, we ordered a burger and sweet potato fries with a flight of beers and it was the perfect meal to hold me over until dinner. Perfect place for an intimate date or a lunch meeting (seats both accommodations perfectly)

Came here to meet up a friend for dinner! Yes, this is the same restaurant/bar as the one in Vegas within the Venetian! As we walked in, there was the host and the bar. Seems like a good place to meet up people for happy hour after work. The restaurant is in a central location as it's near Park Avenue and Central Park. We sat on the top floor with a good view of the enormous Buddha statue on one end of the restaurant. We ordered 'family' style. We got three dishes and an appetizer. The first item was a tuna tartare rendition. For the main course, we had string beans with XO sauce, a chicken dish as well as a sliced fish dish. The dishes were alright, but, I actually prefer authentic Chinese cuisine. However, it was alright as I was there to catch up with a friend! I recommend dining here if you want to go to a hotspot. Take something there for drinks at the bar or for a night on the time for dinner.

A horseshoe-shaped bar is the focal point of the small front room, where a casual and mostly classy, more mature (as in attitude) crowd gathers to socialize rather than cruise. Older patrons and drag queens in cheap makeup appreciate the minimal lighting provided by torch lamps and candles resting on high tables. Later in the night, folks drift into the back room, where regulars arrived early enough to grab a stool and hear a piano man play everything from Sondheim to Rodgers and Hart, while uninhibited patrons grab their five minutes in the spotlight. There's wine and a few tap beers, but it appears what I'm told is a five-star martini menu is what draws them in. It's labeled a gay bar, but the young tweaker and leather contingencies play elsewhere, so it's discreet enough that straights will feel comfortable, as long as they know how to behave. As a basically non-bar person, I find it comfortable, too.
