by Lisa W. on Let's get it straight: there's nothing divey about this bar. Eagle Tavern in SOMA is a "gay dive bar." This ain't anywhere near "dive" status. But it's a good joint, nonetheless. The cocktails are generous. The bartender, Michael Brown, kicks ass. The back patio, I must say, is probably the best patio I've encountered yet in this city. If "Gay Jeopardy" was any indication (the particular night I was there), I imagine the live entertainment they have has gotta be pretty damn good... Just turn down the music a hair, please? It's been four days and I'm still having trouble hearing my inner monologue...
