by Charee M. on I think Trudy's is really only good for two things, and only on Top Shelf Tuesdays : 1) Mexican martinis, which you can only drink with top shelf liquor or it's really not tasty or strong (fiance and I prefer Silver Herradura with Cointreau), and 2) queso. I don't know about y'all (I'm from Arizona and practicing this one) but I like to eat something while I'm drinking. And isn't queso like a given around these parts?
by Christopher K. on I first thought the rooftop deck at Medjool provided a safe haven for douchebags in the Mission. I've been here a few times. I have witnessed guys in striped shirts and popped collars blather into Bluetooth headsets. These guys are usually accompanied by a girl sporting huge sunglasses and a genetically altered "dog" hanging out of her purse. This place welcomes that image. But I'll toss out a counter-theory to the notion this is a safe haven. My thought is the rooftop deck at Medjool will, in fact, cause you to become a douchebag or a shallow wanna-be socialite. We weren't even there for five minutes before I was on the phone with my broker and the girls were talking shit about outfits worn by the people at the table next to us.
