by Nancy L. on F@#$ I hate this place. I never, NEVER have a good time at Suede - even when it was Club Bas back in the day, it sucked a$$. I don't know why my friends even bother to waste their time and money at Suede. And last Saturday, I, being a good and loyal friend, decided to throw not only my time and money away, but also my reason, sanity, all intelligent and rational thought and any hope for a good time since one of my girls was throwing her birthday party there. As I stood in line for Suede, cursing under my breath, trying not to make eye contact with any of the lil' wannabe Asian thug boys and metro boys, wondering if I, too, acted this stupid when I was a lil' 22-year old Asian chick, I tried to forgive myself for my past mistakes. Like, did I actually used to think that Asian guys who were prettier and skinner than me were hot? I guess they expanded the club and now, instead of just two rooms full of 21-year-old fools, you get five rooms (and a smoking room!) full of 21-year-old fools. Yippee! Two wrongs don't make a right, and five rooms of wrongs sure as hell don't make it a right. On a positive note, the bouncers are really sweet. They made sure to get us in as quickly as possible (maybe they were afraid we'd all come to our senses and walk away). Another bouncer inside the club must have seen the "f@#$ off" stamped on my forehead and the regret in my eyes, because he was also really sweet to me. And one of the party promoters must've felt REALLY sorry for me because he actually hung out with me and tried to cheer me up/convince me that this was a dope party. (Mr. Promoter, you're a cool guy but, I'm not 21 and this is not a dope party.) *Sigh*. Suede sucks. 'Nough said.
