The good shit: quick line, free on guestlist before 11 (this is a deep house with marques wyatt night, so keep that in mind), sicktastic music. As for the rest -- i have trouble reconciling the rest of the club. From the crowd, which was ecclectic to say the least (elton-john-esque clad 50 year olds + azn's + people vegas'd out + house dancers in beanies and asics), to the weird layout of the dance floor, which is on f'ing tile and makes it incredibly difficult to really dance and not play slip and slide. Oh, and the really dingy looking basement section pumping hip hop with no breathable air, in comparison to the entire rest of the club that's supposed to be done up and probably resemble Tao in some sense. Doesn't necessarily make it a bad place, just confuses the shit out of me. Would probably come back for the music, if anything.

This place is getting over run with 30 and 40 something yuppies (no offense if you are one, I have nothing with yuppies, I just don't need to be surrounded by them) and the management is taking advantage of the new "it" factor of downtown Culver City by charging $14 for a mediocre mojito. Plus, there's a dude in a cheap suit telling you where you can sit. Double-ewe tee eff.

hmm. am i the lone dissenter here? i LOVE rouge! ok it's small..but usually packed on friday nights--which i love. girls are also super hooked up here which is a plus. great crowd (lots of pervy men--avoid them and you're good to go), good drinks. good times! NOTE: friday nights are asian nights. avoid if you are looking for something a little more mixed.
