I love pizza. I love garlic bread. They are my life blood. Every night when I ride past Red House Pizzeria on my way home from work, the smell of their food beckons me... Naturally, I was disappointed when I actually tried Red House, and found that they do NOT serve garlic bread because they have "simplified their menu." I was able to accept that, and move on with my life, but then our server wouldn't allow us to order a pizza without meat on one half because the kitchen was really jammed and the owner was working back there. Our server explained that he didn't want to bother him with a specialty order. My thought was that the owner wouldn't want one of his employees divulging this type of information to customers, especially considering it makes the owner sound like a jackass who gets too stressed out about pizza to keep his customers happy. Things only got worse when our pizza took over an hour to come out, and our server continually stopped by our table and make bad jokes about the wait. He also brought up the "jammed kitchen" and the owner several more times. When the pizza finally arrived, it was delicious...until...no joke...I found a hair in my slice. At this point, I had had quite a few beers, and was paralyzed with hunger, so rather than complain and wait another hour for another pizza, I laughed it off, picked out the hair, and ate my meal. (Please don't judge me). The only thing keeping this place from a 1 star is the fact that the pizza was actually wonderful, but I believe it is just plain unamerican to make someone wait an hour for pizza.

Nan our server was all smiles and made great recommendations! Everyone is so friendly in ATL! The manager stopped by every table and sincerely wanted to know how everything was! Fried Green Tomato's excellent, Fried Chicken Livers different but good! Fried Chicken with Mash and gravy WOW! Shrimp and Scallops with Stone Ground Grits and gravy my favorite. But to top it all of the Sweet Tea and Famous Pecan Pie was the piece de resistance.

The line was non existent at 11pm, Friday night. The DJ is terrific. People come here to DANCE and they mean serious business. The trio of single girls standing awkwardly on the dance floor in their Saturday best, looking eagerly around for men to hit on them and buy them drinks...these girls stand out like sore thumbs. The decor is so nice, you would expect the place to be much more pretentious, but in actuality, it's just a chill place to go and get your boogie on. And it's quite amazing that you can sit on seating arrangements without being scurried away by a flashlight welding security guy. As long as there isn't a "reserved" placard on the table, you're good to go!
