Had an awesome time here last Friday 11.6.09 seeing Audion.   Staff was super friendly, you don't feel compelled to dress like a ho (I did anyway, but see, that was a personal decision), drinks are reasonably priced (seriously, 7$ for a mixed drink - in a club?  granted I just moved back up to SF but I'm used to club drinks being at least 10$ +), dance floor was almost perfect.  Very mixed crowd.  Freaks to geeks no problem.  I'm not going to rate down a star for the guy in the middle of the dance floor who wouldn't check his bike helmet, though he personally gets a giant WTF on that one.    Minus one star for the sound system.  Not being a sound person, I'm not too sure what exactly was wrong, but the bass and treble seemed wrong in some way.  Still, I danced for many hours and had an awesome time    I will definitely be back for infinite dancing.

Review for the club.. Came here on a Friday night with some friends from college. Didnt expect much but the place is poppin like orville redenbacher. We got on the guestlist and got in just before 11pm no wait and no hassle from the bouncers. Good diverse crowd and greattttt music which i think is essential to having a good time. The place aint that big which means everywhere you stand you gotta be movin or take your ass to the bar or outside. The bar was ok, drinks were made a bit weak but at least they were attentive and fast. I would recommend getting the drinks to get you tipsy quick cuz its not cheap and might as well go big or go home.

Good times at Bowlmor. Now while I have not been back in a few years to this New York institution, which was established in 1938, I highly recommend you check it out when you need something to do with a group or even for a date. It is not just an ordinary bowling alley...it is like an art gallery with some bowling lanes in it. They have 2 floors of lanes, so you will not have to wait long to play. If you get tired of bowling then check out one of their great pool tables or grab a bite to eat at their hip looking diner. Bowlmor loses a few stars due to the overpriced food and overpriced games. They have been known to get a few celebrities here including Michael Phelps, Drew Barrymore and Richard Nixon. So maybe you will get to see a celeb while throwing a few gutter balls...but probably not.
