If it weren't for the fact that they offered hookah, I would've given them one star. This is a funny little place. When we arrived, they had a sign that said it's $25 per ticket to get it, the bouncer said that they were having a charity event that Saturday evening. We asked what kind of charity is it for, he had no clue. He then told us that it's $10 per person before 10pm. So we proceed to pay. The cashier had no clue if there is an ATM in the club, nor did she know what the charity was for... I'm starting to think that these people don't actually work there. We walked downstairs into the lounge/club area. We were greeted by an Indian middle aged plump woman dressed in (I think) traditional Indian clothing, holding a bowl of Indian food, and standing by a few tables that had Indian trinkets on them and selling raffle tickets.... Yea, not the usual lounge experience I was expecting. The place was only half full, and the average age was probably over 35. Drinks were your regular club prices, and hookah was $20, they only had 7 flavors to choose from. No outdoor seating which meant we had to enjoy our hookah standing. Overall, just a really weird place.

Starbar has what you need. Eclectic music and people in a rock city neighborhood mixed with 3/4 alcohol. Everyone I've met at the Starbar is at the very least interesting and the friends I've brought with me have always had a good time. Although it is the only bar I've ever left at the end of the night where the cab driver asked me not to smoke in the car, when I wasn't smoking.
