Club 9 seems to have faded into the background. I was just here Wednesday and stayed till 11:45 (before my head was pounding from the awful music) and left. There were hardly any people here and the music was defiantly not a good choice. The club has a very nice interior with nice seating, a nice bar, pool table, darts, decent sized dance floor and platforms, and very clean bathrooms (so good for a nightclub). The staff is friendly and there is a nice coat check, however there just doesn't seem to be very much of a crowd or good music. I would hope this would change =\

We moved from the dining area to the nightclub. The chips came with two different types of salsa. The regular tomato concoction and black salsa with onion. The black salsa was delicious. I didn't touch the red. The pineapple margarita was tasty and made of real pineapple. The coconut one was delicious too. Rather than salt, the glass was outlined with roasted coconut. The appearance gets 5 stars by itself. I didn't taste alcohol in either beverage which was cool considering I had to transport precious cargo when the night was over. I thought there would be a dj playing music only. It turned out to be karaoke. The dj mentioned a cash prize of $1000. That's when Ayesha and I grabbed a book of songs and began our night. Paul (some random ass older dog of a man) talked Ayesha into going first. He went as far as physically walking up to the dj and writing her name on the sign up sheet. That was it. The beginning of our singing career. After my girl's first song I was thinking "cool, she sings as bad as I do". As the night progressed her voice got better and better. My voice did not improve. I can not sing for the life of me. Ayesha and I were in a competition between two Spanish flies. They tried to out shine us. All their songs were in Spanish. I'll be damned if those two out sing us. They sung a song - we sang a song. I was hating on them. Little did I know we didn't sing up for the money. To be totally honest with you I don't even think the dj had the cash to give us. This was judging from his horrible library of music and the crowd or lack thereof. His music was off. Some of the songs had the wrong music. The words on the screen were correct but the music was not. Also, some songs had the artist singing. That isn't how it should be either. I'm not even going to talk about his beat matching skills because the lord knows I've had many train wrecks playing records in front of an audience. Toward the end - the two flies were making request from us. They wanted us to sing songs they wanted to hear. Heck yes. That means we won, haha. All in all - I had fun at this place. The bartender (happy birthday), the cheating boytoy - Paul, the two drunk guys who came up to us, the group of ignorant guys extolling the Spanish flies - all that made my night. I am glad my girl and I made the drive to Pasadena. It was fun.
