by Anna M. on My friend had talked The Highlands up for months. The Highlands this, the Highlands that, ladies can we please go to The Highlands tonight. Fine, Highlands, I'll give you a shot. But why are you in A MALL? The number one thing you must remember about The Highlands is that it is located on Hollywood and Highland and therefore embodies the very heart of Hollywood snootiness with a dash of ghetto. Big line to get in, even though we were on some guest list. (Angry) The central large dance floor had okay-bad music--hits of the last three years and wait, is that Tupac?. (Sad) The decor was mixed, boasting beautiful chandeliers and portraits, but a shoddily kept patio on the 4th floor. (Mixed feelings) No cover for girls on the guest list, many bars sprung up inside and outside, and drinks were $10--relatively cheap for Hollywood. (Not bad) I suggest going to the very top smoking patio and catching a splendid view of the Hollywood lights. My girls and I crashed some black party and the music was off the hook. Sometimes a girl just wants to go out dancing. The Highlands is a decent place for that if you find the right patio. But you can do better, pretty girl.

by Mana Ridgel on This is one of my favorite places in Pasadena to meet people and have a great time! The bartenders pour strong drinks and there are always awesome DJ's playing in the evenings. Expect Little to NO COVER and affordable drinks all night long! The Terrace is Ideal for Birthday parties without all the typical "club" BS. Tables, Bar, Music, & lots of beautiful people looking to enjoy themselves! The attire is typically on the casual side so feel free to dress comfy and get ready to dance!!!! Nights worth checking out: FOOTWORK - Every 2nd Friday - 90's MUSIC!!! THE COME UP - Every Last Saturday - Hip-Hop/Electro/R&B
