by Wonder W. on Worst VIP Service !!! Paid in full the day before and still was questioned at front desk who we were and had to verify credit card. How embarassing for me as the host for a very special guests from over seas. Make it worse the bouncers gave us a hard time. Didn't feel like VIP guests. Definitely not worth the money to be treated like crap. I'm talking about the private VIP room that cost $880 upstairs. I was told the VIP room played hip hop and it was house too. The atmosphere and house music isn't my complaint. Its the VIP that sucks. Be ware !!!!!
by Michaela S. on I love downtown Culver City in the evenings, when everyone is just mosey-ing along leisurely and enjoying their night. The bar at the Culver Hotel is the perfect place to end (or even start) the evening with a cocktail. A friend and I walked in after dinner at MEET a block away. We settled onto a couch and ordered a couple of cocktails. Loved the vintage decor, high ceilings and soft lighting. An acoustic duo was performing cover songs from the 90s. They were not too loud for guests to carry on conversations at a proper volume. A group of people next to us were enjoying wine and what appeared to be a TROUGH full of fried products - looks amazing for a future happy hour excursion! A toddler was with the group and his mom allowed him to have a sip of her wine. I don't know if my repulsion was spurned by jealousy (MY mother never gave me wine) or worry (seriously, you're in PUBLIC, woman!). Parking: metered street parking or public lots are free for two hours.
