by MARIANA L. on Loved this place! The retro-styling and creative brunch specials made a drowsy morning a lot of fun. Today's Sunday goodies included foie gras scrapple with beets and asparagus, BBQ pulled pork breakfast pizza, banana caramel pancakes... The regular brunch menu was a great collection of griddle specialties and egg dishes (perfect for hangovers and they hungry). Service was cheerful and cute. The $5 souvenir tees were great for the New Yorkers with a shopping bug.
by Sung Lueck on We happened to stop in during their Taco Tuesdays deal. The guy at the order station was very nice and let us have the special price even though we were a few minutes past 9 p.m. (Five stars for the nice guy.) Apparently I wasn't expecting much because I was pleasantly surprised! The carne asado taco was full of meat, lettuce, and avocado. De-lish! (Four stars for the food.) I have to mention the awkwardness of the Rouge nightclub decor with a taco joint. It's a nightclub setting with collapsible tables, chairs and vinyl table cloths on the dance floor. It's quite choppy too since you have to order first, find an empty seat (which is hard to do on Taco Tuesday), then go to the bar and order your drink. And don't forget to pick up your utensils on the way back. Oops, and don't forget the napkins in all this chaos. It's not relaxing to say the least. (Two stars for the dated decor and awkwardness of ordering at two locations.) Overall, I say eat here when you have a nice buzz and just need subsistence to get through the night, or it's a Tuesday and you want a good deal on a delicious taco.
