First time here last year was an AWFUL experience. Rude people. Rude bouncers. Expensive drinks. Nasty bathrooms. We got there at 10:30 to make guestlist, but didn't get in until midnight. HOW THE HECK DOES THAT HAPPEN??? I vowed never to return..and then my friend decides to bounce out of the Bay and throws his going away here. Showed up around 11:45pm and they closed the line. As in, even if people were leaving, we still could go in. Freaking-A. Luckily for me, my girl friend has some serious game and the bouncer was REALLY nice (Even when he told us the line had closed, he was very polite about it.). Still had to pay cover though...$20 each. I don't know why i even bother signing up for guestlist. 3 stars at the club for the music being pretty whack at times and the crowd was really touchy feely...I mean, moreso than the typical club scene. Gross. Not my favorite, but 3 stars for the nicer staff this time around.

One of my favorite restaurants in the city! This place is walking distance to my apartment, and I go at least once a month. If you drive, they have complimentary valet as well. They have a great wine list and their food is fantastic. Their gem lettuce salad is a favorite - I have to get it every time I visit. Great cheese and meats as well. It's also has a great bar area to hang with a friend for wine and people watching! I could continue to gush, but I'll stop :)

I just went to the Velvet Room this past Friday for the first time. I had a good time. It was a little empty at first but once it started filling up, it was better. The DJ was okay. Played a little too much Bobby Brown, New Edition, etc. Would've been nice if I could sit down but...whatever. Still can't believe I stood in heels for 3 hours.
