by Michelle F. on I've been to Atmosphere before, but this time around I reserved a VIP table for my cousin's bachelorette party. I have to give a shout out to KAREN, who runs the place. Thanks for helping us with our reservation & for taking good care of us. The music was on point, the drinks were good & all the ladies had fun. The only downfall was that there was another VIP booth next to us full of guys (it was a bachelor party) & they kept bugging all of our ladies. Karen & her staff were kind enough to check in with us & to keep the crazy boys away. We will be back!! Thanks again Karen!
by Hunter Perine on I recently visited Top Flr for the first time with a big group of girlfriends. The experience from the moment we walked in to the moment we left was a pleasure. I discovered there are many things to love about Top Flr. The space is well designed and artfully decorated. The servers are informed and attentive. The wine list is varied and the ambiance is one of modern comfort and refinement. The menu is interesting and mostly well executed. I tasted several dishes and some of my favorites included the pork satay appetizer, the scallops and the spaetzle side. The pork satay is served with lettuce that you use to create lettuce wraps. Not a unique idea but it was deliciously executed. The scallops were perfectly done and were a source of "order envy" for me since I just tasted a friend's dish. The spaetzle was delightful and also someone else's order. Unfortunately I have to admit I wasn't all that impressed with what I ordered which was the duck gnocchi. The duck was tender but the gnocchi was slightly burnt on one side and not at all tasty. Everyone else's tasted so good though that I have to concede that I just got the bad luck of the draw and perhaps even just the one bad dish coming out of the kitchen that night. I'll definitely be back to try the rest of the menu or maybe even just to grab a glass of wine at the bar. I really love how comfortable and cozy this place feels.
by Keven Sausser on I have been coming to Webster Hall since I was 19, It was easily a 5 Star Location then,, now on the other hand the tables have turned - there was drastic remodeling, the hip hop room which used to be in the basement shared it with the coat check, which had shorter lines ,, now it's a college/rock room - and the folks slid the coat check over to the most inconvenient place... by the stairs. Coat Check is Horrible! The Admissions is usually is $14 on fridays for guys -online, I normally get free invites via email So besides the college rock room, they have a mainstream room which used to play Techno/House "I think a DJ Avery Played" then it was great now it's a joke, the little room near that used to be the Latin Room - they made it look nice, but honestly music sucks and it's the same DJ, who used to play good hits - I think it's webster hall's way of saying stop catering to our original folks - they were playing some wierd techno, oldies and such, room was dead - then they started playing salsa, and was getting lively. Look the room is small, why do people (guys / girls ) enter a room where people dance and stand and do nothing but look - I had 0 room to dance, uncomfortable. but had fun! It's a HUGE PLACE,, Just go early , and go with the party mood
