by pretty t. on Where to begin... This got one star because I couldn't give it zero. This is the worst spot I've ever been to in la. I arrived to a very trashy crowd outside pushing and shoving, and the bouncer yelling at them. We hung back, and eventually someone came from inside to get me and the ladies. The bouncers were yelling at us trying to channel us through, we get inside and my jaw hung open. For a place with a crowd outside, they sure didn't let the right people in. The place had trash and ugly written all over it. One person didn't get the no-longer an eighties spot memo and came as farah faucet, not a cute one either. The girls (who were pretty girls) walked around with shirts that said hoe-bag on them (I was told that was the sponsor), and they def looked like hoebags.They had a good DJ but some guest actor guy who I didn't know rapping and sluring profanity. The place lacked in attractive men and women. There were probably two kinda pretty girls, who were the official table leeches of the night (you know the ones who around tables to get drinks). Everyone else was fat/ looked like their moms still shopped for them at k-mart. I know it sounds judgmental, but when a place acts like its that 'exclusive' and you are surrounded by people like that, you notice. A place doesnt have to have a gorgeous if its made up of people with a little bit of class, but this was the trash of the trashy. Overall. Overpriced, lacks class, not an attractive crowd (though the people who work there are kinda cute), too small, not a good set-up, We didnt have trouble getting in/ getting drinks, but we also had friends who dropped a lot on lots of bottles. My review is still THAT bad.
by tinna h. on Why is it that for the longest time I could not remember that I'd been here before? I would crinkle my nose and ask, "Where's that? Have I been there before?" The sister would remind me that I'd been there for either A or B event in the not-too-distant past. Oh, it's that memorable. I do recall a few things: - Spacious venue. I don't have many bruises from others elbowing as they pass. - Cool events [as in interesting/neat/fun and possibly well-ventilated]. - Lots of stalls in the bathroom. Super important if you plan on going on a liquid diet. If you smile at the bartenders, they might even smile back. 1) They were just having a shitty day before you approached them with your dazzling smile. 2) Their smiles are accompanied by daggers from the eyes or perhaps a surprise in your drink. Nah, they have always been approachable. Will return for cool events and abundance of facilities.
