by Clarine Ricker on 1st i had a hookup so my review will be be biased, now with that out of the way. We were in line for 10mins we cut the line (had a table) got everyone in no questions ask. From the looks of things this would prob not norm happen so if you have a big group its going to be hard. I had a great time and enjoyed the music, the upstairs was very packed but fun the downstairs was alot easier to move around in. Its a VERY elitist club so you better be pretty or willing to pay for a bottle to get in. Not worth the hyper but i still had a sick night.
by Tova Dockham on Our group of six enjoyed a wide selection of small plates, with many vegetarian choices. Almost all the plates were so savory and full-flavored that you didn't need to eat much to feel satisfied. I was particularly impressed with a dish of dried fruits, white cheese, and pastry, an interesting and delicious combo. Medjool's big draw, though, isn't the tapas, but the rooftop bar with a stunning view of the downtown skyline and the Bay Bridge. There are plenty of heat lamps so even on cold days you can enjoy the outdoors. Cash only on the roof.
by amy j. on What a fine little place to see bands. This is one of the coziest music venues in SF. I really like how there are two levels (Swedish American Hall I believe is downstairs? or is it upstairs). They really pack them in here so if it's a sold out show, be prepared to get a little closer with your neighbor. Otherwise, I enjoy seeing bands play here because you can get up close and personal with your favourite performers. There's virtually no street parking near here so I suggest you try to ride public transportation or take a cab.
