by Lynda Cura on AHHHH! Element. I spent my birthday here and boy was i disappointed. I came here on a friday night which was caribbean night and I must say the door was pretty easy, No troubles at all. My friends and I walked right in. But this place was an absolute mess. Here are some of the issues: -A bunch of dudes standing on the dance floor = no dancing room - drinks are not worth the price - Dj kept cutting the music so you cant enjoy a song - Male to female ratio is severely uneven -If your dancing You WILL get a drink spilled on you This place has so much potential because of the awesome balcony but it was just way too crowded. My friends and I left after an hour. We should have checked out The vault
by Tonisha Richoux on I came here for a friend's birthday party and they reserved the back room and ordered a bunch of appetizers. The room was cozy with nice furniture for everyone to sit on and I loved the high ceilings and curtains. I liked the mod interior and the lighting here. The drinks were reasonably priced, I had a sparkling for $7, but the house cocktails were expensive for a lounge, about $9-10. Parking was hard to find as it usually is in SF. The parking lot next to the cafe is INSANELY expensive - $9 an hour at night! The appetizers were mediocre though - we had the staple chips and artichoke dip, chuacuterie (sp? - cheese, cold cut, olives, etc.), fondue, fruit and some others. I would recommend this place for a date or happy hour. And you can go to the Cellar next door (which is what the party did, but I didn't go with them).
