by Jay Riechers on Whether you arrive alone late and sit at the bar or make reservations ahead of time for a group of 4 or 6 the people at the Blue Note will treat you right and you will enjoy yourself with some wonderfully sounding music, some drinks and even some food if you wish. Decent wine list to complement the more than decent list of musicians who frequent the stage here.
by Claude Gallup on sugar 'n spice... this was the evening meeting point for the start of a fun saturday night. a quick id check and no cover lead me into a slick open space. the round leather seats were higher than the square ones which i found a wee odd unless you had some tall and short legged folks in your group. however, we were lucky to snag the seats by the sexy fireplace. with some minor adjustments, the place has potential of being uber chic and pretentious but the crowd was very casual in jeans, young and laid back. there didn't seem to have table service so we would go to the bar to order. when it was my turn to pick up the drinks, i got it with a shake of the head, smile, and don't worry about it...and now folks, that was pretty sweet.
