by Kate W. on Spent my 21st birthday at Silk on Saturday night, was a lot of fun. The club area is hectic of course but you know what your getting yourself into when you go and it's a great crowd so there's no trouble when you're forced to push through the ever-expanding dance floor to get to the bar. The bartenders were all great, 3 were working and were very nice and quick despite the masses of people. It was a little chilly for the beer garden so we didn't hang out there but it looks amazing and can't wait to go back for that. Also it was nice to walk over into the bar in the diner section as the night waned on to catch our breathe from the dancing in the club section. Then after meaning to go for so long walked over to Silk this morning for brunch, was seated right at the counter and enjoyed the tofu scramble (added guacamole), it was very fresh and tasty, I'm not vegetarian just knew the dish had a lot of promise and it was very good. My boyfriend had the "Hangover Special" or whatever it was called, 2 pieces of gigantic french toast with scrapple and fried eggs sandwiched between them. A heartattack waiting to happen but it was throughly enjoyed, I mean how can it not be? So where else can you go out the night before and have a fantastic time and then go back the next morning for a delicious breakfast? Silk is very unique but yet delivers on all levels, love this place.

I had no idea? :P The bouncers are dicks and they make you wait outside forever on "AstroTurf" (which is a bitch to walk in heels) but when we got in it was barely packed. The idea is of the club is kind of cool and the dark wood and leather is very nice. But with so many people surrounding the kitchen (which is the bar) you can't really tell it's a house. The layout is pretty much exactly the same as Garden. So if you know where the bathroom was then, you will know where it is now. :P
