by catherine b. on I believe this place is what you crazy kids call a huge sausagefest. Flash mob of cocktail weenies is possibly a more apt description. Anywaaaaay, I do wish there was another venue with a massive sound system that booked the DJ's that this craptastic place does. But since that other venue doesn't exist, I guess I'll be back and waiting with the rest of the weenies in the artificially created line outside.
by Miel H. on I have to hand it to them for doing every thing they can with the location. Feels like a relief to walk in after the street "life" outside. I caught a recent Happy Hour (late March09) for a FlatMate Meetup. People with housing browsing for those in need and vice versa. The drinks were stiff and reasonable although I didn't really feel the relief of pricing. It isn't a huge place but the tables give ample space for groups up to 6 to huddle (in booths by the windows) and chat in 3's & 4's around bar stands. I didn't eat, but the pizzas and artichoke hearts were well rec'd by other diners and looked fresh and good. This has def got to be a neighborhood joint or a "I was in the 'hood joint" bc I can't see making it a destination. But the waitstaff was super friendly and having fun along with us, and that felt just great.
