by Robbin Rothell on ****ZERO stars***** temple will be getting a couple lawsuits for hiring criminals as bouncers. they should be locked up for what they did to us. basically they jumped us n it was very bloody, hitting a girl(me) and putting my bro in the hospital, he got beat up so bad you couldn't even recognize him. i've never encountered bouncers like these before. this happened the night before thxgivin, a night i will never forget..ITS BRUTALITY!!! and we aint letting this shit slide... i never even liked temple in the first place n after this incident i am never coming back.. i heard that this is not the first time they've done this, bouncer brutality. right when i got there i even saw one of the bouncers accepting a tip money cause the guy was getting kicked out and that bouncer took the money and said "thanks fo the tips but i still cant let you in" these crooked ass bouncers need to be shut down/fired!

Although this place was always more of meat market and has a $20 cover, it used to be great four years ago (2004) by showcasing skillful DJs, great music (if you like hip-hop and top 40), hot girls, hot go-go dancers, never a hassle to get in (you just had to wait in line and pay cover or get on the guest list), and it was open late (4 AM). Now, do not go here without a bulletproof vest and a makeshift knife. This club is extremely ghetto and it's located in the ghetto with ample drug dealers, parolees, and talentless bums (at least bums in other areas of the City are benign and have some sort of talent). Ladies, prepare to be molested on the dance floor. If that is what you are into or you are looking for a prisoner pen pal, then look no further. In fact, you will get to know them well since the club tends to get packed and most of the guests have no problem with bumping into you, stepping on your shoes, and spilling their drinks on you. The line outside the club looks like a police lineup. If you ever feel like getting robbed, walk around the block once, especially on the opposite side of the block on Turk Street. Ladies, you would be absolutely crazy to go to this place without some guys to keep you safe when walking back to your car. I stopped going to this club a couple of years ago when it started feeling more like state penitentiary with a DJ rather than a nightclub. But I am still exposed to its atmosphere by going to the pizza place located on the same block, because that delicious pizza is worth putting my life at risk. To give you an idea of how bad Suite 181 has gotten, the last ten times I have been on this block, I have heard a gunshot once, I have seen a fight once, I have seen the block be blocked off with police tape, and DMX's twin and his rough riders attempted to rob my friends and I with a gun as we were walking to our car. Luckily they changed their minds and left. If you go, I hope you have the same luck as I did.
by Veronica M. on This is one of my local bars. Make sure you go on nights of the week when Reese is working the bar. The other guy is a complete asshole and will make you cry. The food is cheap, quick to come out, and surprisingly good for bar food. Decent selection of beers and drinks.
