I really like it, the drinks are strong (we had margaritas). . the bartenders are decent there's an outdoor area to hang out in. I don't consider it a gay bar though, like it is listed here. I will definitely be back. those 2 drinks each my friend and I had pretty much started us off being bombed at happy hour, that was not good, but it was a lot for drink for your money. (I think our drinks w/Cuervo were only $6.50) There is salsa dancing there sometimes, might want to check that out if you're into that, it looked really fun when I was there another time.

I went here last summer and just now, as the sun is beginning to shine and the sea is calling my name, have I remembered the Frying Pan and how amazing it was. My friend worked around there and I was leaving to Italy the next day so we decided to go with a bunch of our girls to see this bar on a boat (already it gained a star for originality in a city of one too many dive bars). Getting aboard I was shocked by the overwhelming amount of business professionals and the amazing amount of space. It was tough to get a spot but when you have four ladies with a bucket of corona's men squash together and voila! seats. The guys were great and other people just seemed to meld into our conversations, it was like the sea was a natural mood relaxer for all of us normally guarded new-yorkers. Then we ordered food. Oh. My. Sweet. Jesus. If the atmosphere wasn't enough the food is, particularly the burger (medium rare) with blue cheese (roquefort, if I was a betting woman). It was splendid no, not just splendid, magnificent. Everyone, even our new friends ordered one after I let a few bites evoke orgasmic squeals from men the size of boulders. The boat. The atmosphere. The bucket of corona's. The burger. Man this place was too good to be true. The only drawback was the bathroom, nothing horrible for a bar but walking down those rocking wooden stairs while you're drunk is no easy feat. If the horrid winter didn't make me wish for summer, this place alone has the power for hoping and dreaming of days of hot heat and nights of breezes on the sea drinking corona's and eating blue cheese burgers.
