by Ryan J. on Back in the day (2007) a misguided soul built a high end grocery store at this location, he was before his time as there were no hotels or apartments really built out and he went under after 6-7 months. For some reason I've avoided going back into this location until last week to check it out. I'm glad I did, they have really transformed the previous grocery store into an upscale restaurant. I started with some amazing salsa and bean dip (I don't even like beans) and chips and found them to be quite addicting. I had their steak fajita and it was excellent, well cooked and seasoned steak, fresh tortillas and guacamole. It was a busy lunch and I was at the bar so I didn't get a feel for the normal waitstaff but my food was up promptly. Also their Tres Leches cake is excellent, highly recommended. Looking forward to returning. I've eaten at most the domain places and like this one the most (still need to hit up Urban Grill).
by Sonja H. on Bimbo's is one of my favorite venues! Not only is it super SWANKY, the sound always seems to be pretty good also. My last visit to see Dan Auerbach & Hacienda has to be one of the best shows I have been to in a very long time, if ever. I got the munchies there and tried one of their thin crust pizzas and was totally surprised at how good it was. The bartenders and other staff all seem to have it together. Can't wait to go back!
by Wenona Whysong on Ok. So I had heard that this was the "place to be" in the last month or two and decided to stay away somewhat for that reason. I ended up getting talked into going on saturday night because a friend was in town and his group of girlfriends had made reservations. After waiting in line for a while the doorman decided to let our group in (3 guys, 10-12 girls). My friend was being polite and let the girls in first. After we were in the club i noticed that my friend was not around. I went to check outside and they had not let him in, even though he had helped set everything up. My favorite part was that the doorman said he couldn't come in because of fire capacity. Yet people were coming and going the enitre time he said this. I asked the manager dowstairs and told him our situation in a polite manner. He stated that he could not control the doormen, and nothing could be done. Yeah, ummm I might just be crazy, but i thought managers...well umm.... manage. Whatever. Needless to say the experience was what i expected. Lame. I'll give them one star for the decor and layout though. That's about it
