by Leviticus W. on if i had to sum this place up in a sentence it would be: good food better atmosphere + drinks and even better spot to people watch. this is the kind of place you go to where eating is not the primary goal of the meal. wrap your mind around that and throw in some pricey meal options and drinks and bam.. you have XIV. did the 14 course tasting menu @ $114pp. Was it worth that much? probably not but it was nice to try practically everything on the menu so that when I go back I'll know exactly what to order. Surprisingly the appetizers far outshined the entrees. From the tartare to the angolotti it was all so so so good! the angolotti wins for my favorite because as you bite into it you're greeted with a warm cheesy explosion. YUM! The entrees tasted the same... We had 5 diffferent ones (3 different meats) and I only remember like 2 distinct tastes. The kobe burgers were the best out of all of them. The jidori chicken, however, was bland and sub par. Hopefully something new gets added to the menu to spice it up. The atmosphere is by far one of the strongest factors of the restaurant. Where else are you going to find literally ALL the women dressed to the nines in 5" Louboutins loudly chatting away without a care in the world, or a table full of seemingly successful older men with their anatomically correct & perfectly built wives. It definitely makes up for the sub par entree selection. When you come here, don't have a budget in mind really. Just enjoy the experience for what it is and worry about the financials later!
by Ophir P. on never waited more than 15 minutes longer than my reservation time which is unheard of for such a rockin' A list spot. the decor is top notch and there are live goldfish the size of bass under the buddha. the menu is excellent and the seabass is perfect every time. try the emerald dumpling if youre a veg. the drinks are phenominal too. very strong but well balanced. the wine list is NOT AT ALL PRICEY considering you will love this place as long as you get over the wait...but then there's a reason for the long list of people who want to eat here!
by Jeff on Worst strip club ever......A $5 cover charge and $3.50 for a ine-filled glass splashed with soda (no booze is allowed, although they say you can leave and drink in your car-- how fun is that???!!!???). The two drink minimum means that you'll have to spend $12 to get in the place before getting any attention from a dancer (for lack of a better word). Once inside, we were informed that a lap dance would be $25 for a G-string dance or $50 for a nude dance. We went there looking for some entertainment and left in a hurry after less than 5 minutes. Under NO circumstances should you ever go there-- my buddy and I we worried for the entire time in that hell-hole that we were going to get shot, raped, or worse. DON'T GO THERE. EVER. You will have a better time at a McDonalds, and that is an understatement. Just say no to crappy strip bars-- and this place is the definition of crappy. Seriously-- run, don't walk, as far as you can from this craptacular establishment. Even a penny spent there is an insult to coins you might find in the bottom of a dirty toilet in a rest stop bathroom in Tijuana. This is a kind and gentle review of the experience one might expect from Stephanie's Cabaret..
by JP on I was working in Columbia and pulling 18 hour days and needed to blow off some steam. I went there and had a great time the first night. The second night my buddy and I showed up an hour before close and hit up a couple girls for dances, expecting a repeat of the night before. Instead I was treated to a beatdown/shakedown by the bouncers for running my fingers through a girls hair. Arm locked me...bounced my head off the concrete...took $40 from me.
Very weird...no problems the night before...the girls were awesome. I made sure I was clear on the rules, which is no touching anywhere the G-string covers...just stupid and messed up. The DJ thinks he's their pimp and is on a total power trip. I'm considering filing a police report.
